MBO Fold School - Advanced

Date: 5/13/2008 - 5/15/2008

Location: Westampton, NJ

The MBO Folding School is operated under the directorship of Dave Trutzenbach, a widely recognized & publicized authority on bindery operations with over 50 years bindery operation experience in addition to his formal training in England.
Both Advanced level and Basic full-day courses are completely free to MBO customers and include a new and updated instruction manual with hundreds of illustrations and new Technical Information sheets on micro perforating. These hands-on courses address the importance of maximizing productivity by minimizing down-time. The MBO Folding School provides the opportunity for operators to improve their knowledge and proficiency regardless of their skill level. Dave emphasizes the hands-on aspect, “With the availability of machines at our facilities, and operator/attendees from a large variety of printers, we can also troubleshoot and solve the real-life challenges that an operator faces.”
“Basic” Folding, for beginners, is designed to teach the fundamentals of folding paper and the safe operation of machinery and accessory units. Students set up different jobs with a variety of paper sizes and the inherent problems associated with different impositions and paper stock. “Advanced” Folding focuses on more complex problems with a stronger emphasis on machine principles covering both mechanical and electrical features. The courses also provides the framework for improving operator proficiency with slitting, center bleed, edge trimming, perforating and creasing along with gluing and double-gate folding.
Upon completion of the 2 ½ day course, attendees are given a certificate of folding machine operating proficiency from MBO America.Visit the MBO America website to see our Fold School Calendar for 2008.
