Panic in the Grey Room
May 10, 2007

You wake up on a Thursday and get to the office. Looking carefully at the list of things you wanted to accomplish this week, you see that the more important items are left undone. Rut-row! Thursday is panic day. I can’t tell you why, but the minute you procrastinators decide to get locked in and get some work done, the phone rings and a customer who is two hours away has an immediate need and off you go to deal with that “emergency,” leaving the work undone once again.

I find Thursdays to have a wonderfully relaxed personality. I’m not sure why this is, but as far back as I can remember, I have looked forward to Thursdays with great anticipation. Friday is almost here. In the fall, ESPN has a college football game on in HD (which is nice). The beer tastes better in HD. I know not why. Actually, I don’t drink beer. It doesn’t taste good to me. Never has. I don’t know the reason for that, either.

Where was I? Oh, yes….

Selling on a Thursday, then, is done with a smile on my face. I swear my customers can hear it. They smile back and we laugh more and life seems easier.

Yup, Thursday is the best day of the week to sell! Except for….
