Trust me. I'm in Sales.
April 26, 2007
Blog. Who came up with that name? Early Internet users coined the term ‘SPAM’ after a Monty Python riff. But, where did ‘Blog’ come from? Anywho, welcome to my Sales Blog. Please wipe your feet, grab a Coke and have a cookie.
As a sales trainer and, more importantly, columnist to Graphic Arts Monthly, it is my duty to empty the contents of my head onto the pages of eGAM in the hopes that you are enlightened, entertained, enchanted, enhanced, and enchilada-ed, all neatly encapsulated and
written like the encomiast (actual word. Look it up!) that I am.
But then again, who am I and why should you listen to me for advice?
Those who know me or have read my past columns know what to expect.
If you are new to the planet, let me prepare you. I am a wise-ass.
I don’t play well with others. I write and speak in an anecdotal manner, weaving in business and personal issues. Be forewarned on a couple of things. First, I got a 510 on my SATs in high school (twice!). Second, this Blog is free and you get what you pay for.
Your job? Read. Process. Reply. I firmly believe in the Four Agreements, one of which is not to take anything personally. So, go ahead, have at me. I will fire off the occasional question. Answer it. I’ll read them. I promise. My first question is this: What are you doing reading a Blog when you should be selling something?
Later!
