Narrow (0.010") lines are not normal in stochastically screened printing.

Question: Why are there lines in the printing when use stochastic screening? When we print 175-line conventional screening, we have no issues.

Answer: Narrow lines—approximately 0.010” running around the cylinder—is not a normal or commonly reported issue when using stochastic screening. Running 20- or 25-micron stochastic should not be an issue. I consulted with the manufacturer, and it appears you have a laser issue. Your press is not causing the problem, nor is it your plant. A service call is needed.
