Demi Moore, Kevin Costner: Print's Lead Roles

Typo, Mr. Brooks–starring the printing industry. It’s not that frequently print plays the hero, or the heavy, in a old or new media.
New Book and New Movie
So it’s fun to see two recent offerings with print-related action in a featured role. First, a new book, Typo: The Last American Typesetter or How I Made and Lost 4 Million Dollars by David Silverman
. Man borrows on his dad’s pension fund to buy a failing typesetting firm in Clarinda, IA. Wonder which consultant was handing out the advice that got him into the typesetting business in 1999.
Kevin Costner As Evil Package Printer
And at the movies, Mr. Brooks, starring Demi Moore, William Hurt, and with Kevin Costner as a Jekyll & Hyde box manufacturer in Portland, OR, living a double life as the Thumbprint Killer (his alter ego is played by William Hurt; Demi Moore is a police detective on his trail. 
At Least They Are Talking About Print
Sure, these aren’t the most flattering portraits. But in today’s world of mindless, endless and continuous media mayhem, at least they’re linking to us. And we’re linking right back.
