Going Green? Go Here!
March 6, 2008

If you are among the hundreds of printers shifting to sustainable practices in your operation, then here's a last minute reminder about a must-attend event: the National Environmental Health & Safety Conference in Indianapolis March 10-12.
Whether you are catering to customers, concerned about efficiencies in your production, or worried about Planet Earth, this conference will be important to you. And it may well turn out to be one of those industry turning-points.
The annual NEHS conference has historically focused on OSHA and EPA issues. This year for the first time, it embraces the green printing movement. And most dramatic of all, a presentation of the first criteria for sustainable print will be made by a trio of groups that is on the verge of realizing a very complicated undertaking.
Listed below are the associations and sponsors for the event, which gives a sense of the scope of concern and support across a wide spectrum of our industry. Graphic Arts Monthly is also deeply involved, as publishing partner, and developer of a study of print industry sustainability practices--sponsored by Day International and Xerox.
