Graph Expo: Glorious in Black and White

-- Graphic Arts Online, 10/20/2008 6:06:00 AM

One-color works gets its digital due, as Xerox demos the abilities of its 125-ppm printers to hold halftones with sample runs at Graph Expo, which opens Sunday Oct. 26 in Graph Expo digital printing finishing folding stitching Chicago. Posters and a "Home of the Original Monsters” 56-page booklet with squarefold, stitching and trimming applications, developed in conjunction with Universal Studios, use images from classic black-and-white movies such as Frankenstein, The Mummy, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. The finishing applications debut at the show.
Conventional offset will be widely present at the show, with new press technologies debuted by a wide range of exhibitors. Show managers surveyed offset press manufacturers that will be at Graph Expo to catalog the running systems that will be on the floor.
Must See 'Ems empanels judges conversant in printing industry trends to review self-nominated applications and equipment that will be at Graph Expo. This comprehensive survey of exhibitor  presentations across the entire range of graphic arts applications results in the Must See 'Ems program list, announced the day prior to the show at the Executive Outlook conference. The group has developed its annual list of survival technologies--a preliminary list of what judges of the "Must See 'ems" assess as critical categories for printing operations.
