Back-Side Printer
Akiyama Manufacturing of Japan has extended its Backprinter product line to include the 40"-wide Bestech model sheetfed press. The unit is positioned as the first printing unit of the press, allowing the back side of the sheet to be printed and UV cured prior to the printing of the top colors without turning the sheet. This approach, says Akiyama, assures that there will be no marking on the back of the sheet while maintaining high-quality printing on the top side.
