SmartWorks.com, Corporate United Ink VAR Deal

Dayton, Ohio-based SmartWorks.com, Inc. announced that the Corporate United purchasing consortium has become its newest value-added reseller (VAR) for enterprise e-procurement and print management. Corporate United will offer SmartWorks.com, Inc.'s automated e-procurement platform to its Fortune 1000 members.

"SmartWorks.com will provide Corporate United with a fully automated e-procurement platform to host its negotiated contracts, allowing members to save up to 70% on processing costs and reduce cycle time," says Corporate United president Gregg Mylett.

In turn, says Randy Simmons, SmartWorks.com director of marketing for channel development, "Corporate United can simplify and improve procurement processes by offering its members a single Web site to place orders, manage inventory, track usage, and provide cost center allocation for their contract purchases. SmartWorks.com will have the ability to extend these supplier contracts to our other VARs."
