Yes, Don't Fulfill Prophecy

Editor:

At the risk of you publishing my comments, I must say you had a very good editorial on "Guarding Against Self-Fulfilling Prophecy" in the February issue.

I completely concur.

Variable-Data Technology

Editor:

Thank you for the excellent January cover story, "One-to-One Impact of Variable-Data Presses," by Debbi Toth, which featured Indigo customer CardStore.com's embrace of Indigo's variable-data technology for e-commerce applications. We were particularly pleased with the close-up of the UltraStream 2000 on your cover and its creative use as a design element in the article.

As the author apty points out, digital press sales and usage continue to grow and the future of variable-data printing continues to evolve.

Merrill Clark, Director of Marketing

Indigo America, Inc., Woburn, Mass.

Last month, CardStore.com officially changed its corporate name to Touchpoint, Inc., to better describe its evolving technology and the service platform it provides to its e-commerce partners and corporate customers.

Searching for Special Printing

Editor:

I came across your gammag.com Web site while searching for some firms in Canada that produce thermo-embossed printing. Are you or your readers at liberty to send some names my way? I used to know one in Winnipeg, Manitoba, but have lost the contact.

I am mostly interested in printers in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Our company supplies fine art materials to artists everywhere, including many Canadian-made product lines.

Supplier of Card Decks

Editor:

We recently received a packet of post cards and lead cards in the mail from Graphic Arts Monthly, which consisted of a number of two- and four-color post cards and business reply cards, all packaged in a see-through envelope.

I am working on a quotation for one of my customers and was wondering if you could suggest a company that could handle this type of job for me. It would be very similar to the packet I received from your company.
