Expansion for VistaPrint

-- Graphic Arts Online, 9/12/2008 7:11:00 AM

VistaPrint will add 140,000-sq.ft. to its Windsor, ON, facility, opened in 2005. The expansion includes 39,000 sq.ft. of office space and over 80,000 sq.ft. for manufacturing, bringing the facility’s total area to just under 300,000 sq.ft. VistaPrint, which plans to be using the space during the upcoming holiday season.
“The expansion of the Windsor manufacturing facility has been undertaken to meet the expected increases in North American demand,” says Wendy Cebula, president of VistaPrint North America. "While the company has expanded worldwide, the majority of our orders continue to come from North America."
The plant is responsible for the printing and distribution of orders from throughout North America. VistaPrint says it averages online 33,000 orders per day in its Windsor and Venlo, the Netherlands facilities, up 50% from one year ago. VistaPrint operates 19 localized Websites and ships to more than 120 countries around the globe. For more
