After six months of testing, Goss launched GossRSVP in the U.S., allowing magazine readers to use cameras in mobile phones to scan two-dimensional barcodes in ads and link to online resources. Optionally, readers can text-message a request about the ad to Goss, which sends back a promotional reward and other marketing information. Advertisers and publishers receive direct feedback on response rates, which is managed by the GossRSVP server.
