Heidelberg Green Award

Printers have until the end of the month to submit entries for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen's international Eco Printing Award for sheetfed offset printers.
Winners of the award will receive a HEI ECO sculpture (shown) made of olive wood and steel, and prize money totaling EUR 50,000.
An independent panel will judge entries, including representatives from the the European printing association INTERGRAF. In the future, printing associations in various countries will appoint panel members to reinforce the competition's international focus.
The award is focused on the use of sustainable resources and energy, climate protection and eco-business practices. Heidelberg expects winning companies will set a benchmark for the entire industry and encourage others to adopt sustainable business practices and solutions.
