Election Ballot Mistake

-- Graphic Arts Online, 8/6/2008 6:03:00 AM

Mistakes in Tennessee election ballots resulted in the reprinting of 211,500 ballots at cost of $40, 000.

Election officials in Chattanooga first omitted a U.S. Senate race for from both Democratic and Republican ballots, reports a local paper. After the reprinting, it was then discovered that the name of a candidate running for House spot was missing.

Mid-West Printing Co., Sapulpa, OK, printed the ballots.
