Quebecor Plans Iowa Expansion

Quebecor World is asking the Iowa Dept. of Economic Development for incentives to support a $19.7 million expansion plan at its Dubuque book and catalog printing plant.

The latest growth plan comes less than five years after the Dubuque plant invested $24 million in an expansion project that created dozens of jobs.

The project includes 40,000-sq.ft. addition, but is not expected to create jobs, reports a local newspaper. The expansion could eliminate positions due to modernization of printing equipment.

The plan was approved by the Dubuque City Council.
