A printing error in 112,000 tax bills mailed in Indiana mistakenly instructed credit card users to call an adult phone service line; the postcards were reprinted and mailed.
The Sunday newspaper remains the #1 place for acquiring household coupons, but Internet coupons are on the rise, according to Scarborough Research. The research firm said that 11% of households download coupons via the Internet, an 83% jump since 2005. However, 53% of households get their coupons from the Sunday newspaper. Other top places for acquiring coupons are the mail 35% and stores 33%.
A month-long campaign to crack down on copyright piracy and illegal publications has been launched by China’s National Office of Anti-Porn and Illegal Publications. The agency says it will make inspections of wholesale and retail stores trading in newspapers, magazines, audio-video and computer software, and at hotels, tourist sites and transportation hubs where illegal publications most often appear.
