Trib Total Media is considering building a new $75 million printing plant that would consolidate four aging facilities. The CEO of the Warrendale, PA company tells a local business journal the company has maxed out its printing operations and has had to turn down commercial work, including potential contracts to print the New York Post and the Beaver County Times
The printer’s main facility, NewsWorks, is situated on 13 acres and offers145,000-sq.ft production space. If the company proceeds with the project, it expects to close its four older Pennsylvania plants-- Greenville, Monroeville, Monessen and McKeesport --and consolidate its operations and staff into two larger printing facilities.
Last month, the company acquired four weekly newspapers and a weekly shopper collectively known as the Buttlermilk Falls group of newspapers from Wysocki-Cole Enterprises Inc., Vandergrift, PA.
