Certifying Color Management Professionals

Premedia trade group IPA launched the Color Management Professional Certification Program at its annual technical conference last month in Chicago. The program provides color management education and certification for the entire production chain, from creative through output.
Students of CMP will learn best practices associated with color management implementation and gain recognition for their color management skills. It also provides print buyers “assurance that their suppliers have professionals on board who can achieve accurate and quality-controlled color reproduction,” says IPA. The program was developed by color management experts to address all major stages of the graphics workflow process.
