PRESS RELEASE: Edward Hine Co. Introduces a Smarter, Greener Way to Print

-- Graphic Arts Online, 2/12/2008 5:28:00 PM

PEORIA, IL - Edward Hine Co., celebrating 128 years of print communication excellence, has installed the Presstek 52DI: the ultimate, state-of-the-art, environmentally-sustainable direct-image press designed to serve in an on-demand world of overnight deliveries, digital file transmission and instant global communication. The Presstek 52DI is ideal for the short-run color print market, printing on a wide range of substrate choices from re-cycled paper to heavy card stock, to onion skin. The 52DI dramatically increased speed and productivity enhancements combined with museum/ultra-high quality brings the cost-effectiveness of direct-to-plate offset printing to wider range of customers and print projects.

Edward Hine Co. embraces the Presstek 52DI for the environmental benefits as well. This “lean green machine” imaging system is chemistry-free, reducing Volatile Organic Compounds* output up to 90%. Unlike conventional off-set printing, the 52DI does not use water, eliminating chemically tainted wastewater disposal. Traditionally, hundreds of sheets of paper are utilized to get to color and registration, however, this press requires as little as 20 sheets dramatically reducing paper waste.

Edward Hine Co. is dedicated to servicing the rapidly changing needs of print buyers and graphic designers working in this fast-paced digital world by providing a smarter, greener way to print.
