Screen PlateRite Ultima 36000ZX thermal platesetter is the first to use new-generation Grating Light Valve GLV-X technology, with each exposure head featuring 1,024 imaging channels to achieve record speeds of 33 full-size plates per hour at 2400 dpi. It outputs 68 eight-up plates per hour. For jumbo-size sheetfed presses it accommodates plates from 25.6×21.7´´ to 82.6×62.9´´. Scalable automation options include inline registration punching, optional punching for presses and auto-focus to ensure optimum dots across the largest format plates. Agfa Graphics :Secuseal (not shown) is a set of plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator that adds security elements to print designs for packaging and labels for luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, official documents, etc. “With :Secuseal, Agfa has built on existing security printing technology . . .that works seamlessly with all workflows,” says Koen Heyndrickx, Agfa product manager.
