Newspaper Assn. of America launches an aggressive campaign at AdAge.com to promote its members’ print editions and related Websites. Media buyers are challenged to rethink spin being offered by Web-only advocates, as NAA details reader demographics, unique user statistics and other numbers to show the ink-on-paper versions are viable components of marketing agendas. Hip graphics help spin the message for newspapers as NAA asserts that even younger readers are regularly reading newspaper publications.
