Low-Cost Stereo Printing Technology

By Lisa Cross -- graphic arts online, 5/1/2007

Toppan Printing Co., Ltd., developed a low-priced high-precision stereo printing technology for producing images that change when viewed from different angles. Called “NT type,” the development yielded a lenticular lens whose notches are 40% finer, provide sharper stereo prints and cost 30% than existing high-precision stereo printers. The lens is made on an automatic formation line. A credit card-sized print costs less than 8¢. www.toppan.co.jp/english
