Graphic Arts Monthly's workflow editor Hal Hinderliter will present a two-day session on Adobe's Acrobat 8 at the Macworld Conference and Expo, January 8-12, at San Francisco's Moscone Center. Hinderliter will speak on the variety of ways to configure Distiller; techniques for editing, searching and archiving PDF files; how to create specialized PDF/X files; and the benefits of storing metadata within your PDF. Jay Nelson, editor and publisher, Design Tools Monthly, will give a presentation on QuarkXPress 7. The event will kick off with a keynote by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The event includes a two-day conference featuring power-user tips and tricks for working with the apps within the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite. In addition, a special session will feature a “Hands-on Lab” to demonstrate how the many Creative Suite applications work together in print and PDF. Over 400 companies—140 new to this year's show—will be exhibiting thousands of Mac products at the event; 38,439 people attended last year's event (shown). Show coordinators expect to see even higher attendance this year. www.macworldexpo.com
