Harris & Bruno LithoDry infrared dryer system can be monitored and controlled from one location with a PLC-controlled touch screen. Infrared quartz lamps inside the dryer system feature a parabolic reflector that focuses infrared light on the sheet surface. The vertically fitted lamps have a life-span of over 5,000 hours. The system's bidirectional air knife design delivers a cross flow of air to the sheet while heated air knives evaporate water-based coatings. This air-flow design reduces negative pressure above the sheet as well as turbulence, creating better sheet control, says Harris & Bruno. All air knives are independent and fully adjustable. The heat produced by the air knivesis also adjustable up to a maximum of 160°F. TheLithoDry's collection and evacuation unit removes heat, excess air, moisture and vapors through an evacuation blower, while the exhaust hood expels residual moist air and fumes. The system also includes automated safety features. You can visit Harris & Bruno International at Graph Expo in Booth No. 254. www.harris-bruno.com
