Structural Graphics', Essex, CT, patent-pending design uses magnets as the activation mechanism (example shown) for pop-up advertising, mailers and promotional pieces. The company says magnets provide more durability, added flexibility in design and printing and greater cost efficiencies than traditional rubber band-activated designs.
“The use of magnets in our Magna Snap is a revolutionary step for pop-up design. With this new design, our clients can factor significant savings by printing on lighter weight stock, reduced costs for hand assembly, more versatility in design and more durability for the finished piece,” says Michael Dambra, Structural Graphics' marketing VP.
The company, with a library of more than 40,000 dimensional designs, has produced projects for some of the most well-known brands, including McDonald's, HBO, A&E, NBC, Nickelodeon, Volvo, Toyota, Citibank and GlaxoSmithKline, and serves a number of industries, including entertainment, consumer packaging, automotive, pharmaceutical, financial services and technology. It recently acquired Intervisual Communications, a Santa Monica, CA-based dimensional print and promotions company. www.structuralgraphics.com
