ColorGraphics, Seattle, is hosting an art show (invitation shown here) that opened last month titled “Journey,” which features the works of local artist Sharon Strauss and commercial photographer Anil Kapahi. The show runs through April 29.
Los Angeles-based ColorGraphics installed an 8-color Lithrone 840 with coater at its Seattle facility in March 2005. The press was cited as a key driver in ColorGraphics taking on an additional $10 million in revenue.
Among other machines, the company also operates an 8-color Heidelberg, running UV inks and spot coater. The Seattle facility also added a Screen USA SG-8060P Mark II digital drum scanner with a 12,000 dpi resolution, high-quality scanning head and a magnification range of 10% to 3,000%.
ColorGraphics, annual sales of $134 million, also operates plants in San Francisco and Costa Mesa, CA. The company acquired George Rice & Sons from Quebecor World in July 2005. www.colorgraphics.com
