Wam!Net Extends E-Commerce Expertise

Wam!Net Inc.-a provider of managed network, storage, hosting, and professional e-services-has acquired is.com in a bid to extend its expertise in e-commerce system development and implementation. Both companies are based in Eagan, Minn.

is.com, a privately owned provider of e-commerce services, specializes in the design, construction, and deployment of systems and consultancy services that facilitate B2B e-commerce activities such as supply-side management. The company has supported the e-business efforts of a variety of customers, including eSplice, Katun, Onvoy, PDI, and Techies.com.

"is.com brings us a team of highly skilled professionals with a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies, and a proven track record of helping customers achieve strong competitive advantages and revenue growth opportunities on line," says Wam!Net president Will Sullivan. "This acquisition represents an important step in extending our range of network, storage, hosting, and professional services."

Approximately 40 is.com employees will join Wam!Net, including systems engineers and developers, software architects, quality assurance analysts, project managers, and technical writers.
