Noosh, Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., is a company founded in 1998 to create business-to-business (B2B) Internet-based communications and collaboration services in print, electronic media, creative services, and direct mail. It has now entered into a venture that allows it to offer collaboration and procurement services through the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform.
The deal means that Noosh (an Ariba Ready supplier) has joined Ariba Supplier Link, the Ariba supplier partner initiative. Through its open Ariba Commerce Services Network, the platform provides Noosh with a single Internet-based point of access and integration with buyers and marketplaces worldwide.
Dave Hannebrink, senior vice president of marketing and business development for Noosh, says his company's alliance with Ariba "will enable Noosh customers to gain greater procurement efficiencies and enhance their ability to manage spending across their entire organizations."
Noosh also announced that it will collaborate with Ariba on the continued development of Commerce XML (cXML), an open Internet standard for exchanging supplier content and transaction information between buyers, suppliers, and B2B marketplaces. Hannebrink says Noosh uses cXML to make its print procurement and collaboration services available via the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform.
The Ariba solution's cXML "punchout" feature enables the seamless integration between the buying process powered by the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform and the Noosh collaboration and procurement service, thereby providing a complete end-to-end solution, according to Ariba officials.
