Translucent Synthetic Paper

-- graphic arts online, 12/1/2000

Yupo Corporation has launched its durable BLD-150 offering, a UV- and weather-resistant translucent substrate. Suitable for use in scrolling or static indoor/outdoor backlit displays, the synthetic paper's proprietary blend of polypropylene and inorganic fillers affords the substrate a smooth, high-gloss surface texture. According to the company, 100% recyclable BLD-150 is equivalent to 104-lb. stock in terms of its thickness, and is built to withstand the rigors of prolonged exposure to the elements while maintaining high image quality. Available in sheet sizes of 23x25" and 25x38" as well as made-to-order roll sizes, it can be printed using lithographic, flexographic, or gravure processes.
