Super-Wide-Format Printer

Vutek Inc. has announced the release of its UltraVu 3360 EC super-wide-format eight-channel digital press, the first eight-color printer that is Pantone Hexachrome capable for paper, vinyl, mesh, and pressure-sensitive materials, claims the company. Two configurations are available: four-color, which uses two colors per channel (CMYK) for high-speed printing; and eight-color, which uses one channel per color (CMYK plus light cyan, light magenta, orange, and green) for enhanced image quality. The 720-dpi printer, which can accommodate substrates up to 126" wide with a 120" print width, outputs at speeds of over 1,000 sq ft per hour. Circle No. 1 on Reader Service Card
