Service Links Printers with Buyers

PrintBid.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of ImageX.com, has created a new subscription service for print vendors that revolves around its Web-based print procurement technology. The service is an extension of PrintBid's site tools that provide bid management, print sourcing, and relationship building between print vendors and print buyers.
With the service, subscribers not only can receive on-line requests for quotes (RFQs), they also are able to view a project's details and ask the buyer questions, and can search the PrintBid marketplace for projects that fit their niche.
Keeping track of business
In addition, subscribers receive personalized monthly performance reports with details including the number of RFQs received, as well the number of bids responded to and the average cost (based on their subscription fee) of RFQs received or bids submitted. Vendors that choose a free listing can still be found by any PrintBid buyer who uses the site's search engine, but are contacted by their prospective buyers off line via traditional methods.
