Robert Stabler has been appointed president of Agfa Graphic Systems, Ridgefield Park, N.J., replacing Alexander van Meeuwen, who resigned the position he had held since December 1996. Stabler, who joined Agfa 16 years ago, most recently headed its consumer imaging operation.

PaperExchange.com, Boston, acquired BoxDirect.com, an e-marketplace player focused on the corrugated container and paperboard packaging industry.

priNexus, Inc., Norcross, Ga., has announced an intent to acquire Tukaiz Communications, a digital communication services company based in Franklin Park, Ill. In April, priNexus acquired Finlay Brothers Printing, Bloomfield, Conn.

Heidelberg Americas, Inc., Kennesaw, Ga., will market Kompac III and V models of automatic dampening systems from Varn International, Oakland, N.J. for use on its sheetfed presses.

Consolidated Graphics, Inc., Houston, Tex., has signed separate, three-year sourcing agreements with xpedx, its primary paper merchant, and with NetPrint, a group of 11 affiliated, independent paper merchants.

MAN Roland, Westmont, Ill., signed a reseller agreement with Polaroid Graphics Imaging, Bedford, Mass., to bundle PolaProof and Prediction proofing systems into its sales of sheetfed presses.

Printing Research Inc., Dallas, Tex., has acquired from Philo Technology, Inc. the on-press patented product formerly known as the Kustom Impurity Removal SystemS (KISS), which will be renamed AIRS (Automated Impurity Removal System).

The late Bob Bradley of the Chicago Press Corporation has been posthumously awarded the 2000 John Dillard Award for Sales Manager of the Year by the Graphic Arts Sales Foundation, West Chester, Pa.
