Sales Achievements
-- Graphic Arts Online, 11/1/2000
Several exhibitors announced their Graph Expo sales accomplishments (see October issue for initial reports).
Komori America reported on-site sales of more than $50 million, leading Mark Kilgore, sales and marketing vice president, to comment, "We were very pleased with the volume of traffic and the quality of the prospects."
Xerox Corporation stated that it had generated orders and letters of intent for products and solutions amounting to $46 million in potential revenue. Dennis Frahmann, director of global event marketing, said that the show "paid off for us in every way."
CreoScitex booked more than $30 million in sales, including a single order for $4 million for an extensive computer-to-plate (CTP) installation at a U.S. carton manufacturer's site. Vendor officials call the sale the largest CTP order in the packaging industry, in which only about 5% of firms have adopted such technology.
RDP Marathon, Inc., manufacturer of variable-repeat, perfecting, and nonperfecting web presses, said it closed orders in excess of $5.5 million with three printers: McAdams Graphics, Oak Creek, Wis.; U.S. Web, Huntington, N.Y. (second RDP press purchase); and Wallace Computer Services, Hillside, Ill. (fourth purchase).
Kodak Polychrome Graphics sold nearly 40 Kodak Approval proofing systems and signed a number of major new consumables contracts.
