List Reveals Top Government Printers

Monarch Litho, Montebello, CA, has topped e-LYNXX Corporation's annual list of top 50 government print vendors, ranked by sales, for the second straight year. Seven of the top 10 in the 2003 list remained in that upper echelon of the newest ranking. The list is compiled from data assembled by e-LYNXX's ABC Advisors division and encompasses the federal fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2004.
Separately, the GPO reports an operating surplus of $11.2 million for the year ending Sept. 30—a turnaround after losing more than $100 million over the past five years. GPO also reports it purchased about $450 million in printing and related services this year. The top 10 states from which GPO purchased printing services: 1. Maryland, 16,674 orders, $56.8 million; 2. Pennsylvania, 8,501 orders, $53.2 million; 3. California, 7,428 orders, $48.1 million; 4. Kentucky, 842 orders, $26.5 million; 5. Missouri, 3,232 orders, $24.4 million; 6. Ohio, 4,900 orders, $21.4 million; 7. New York, 7,194 orders, $19.5 million; 8. Illinois, 7,614 orders, $18.7 million; 9. Virginia, 8,972 orders, $15.7 million; 10. Colorado, 3,950 orders, $11.4 million.
