Ink MisstatementEditor:
Your Ink column in the August issue contained a false statement referring to a research project said to have been conducted at Lehigh University under the auspices of the National Printing Ink Research Institute. NPIRI, which is located in the offices of the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers, has not supported any project at Lehigh concerning ultraviolet-curable, soy-containing lithographic ink.
Please correct your records.

Friend of Pocket PalEditor:
I want to compliment you on your Editor's Notebook column in August. The Pocket Pal is the very best book for the graphic arts, whether you're a student or a seasoned professional.
I've used it throughout my 30-plus years in the business, both on the agency side and as a printer, helping me to teach print workshops for staff and clients, and giving it to all new buyers, purchasing agents, and print producers.
I still recommend it to anyone looking for a quick tutorial on our business.
