Quebecor World Inc., Montreal, last month announced that it had been awarded a contract extension from United Stationers Inc., whose annual sales of about $3.7 billion are said to make the company North America's largest broad-line wholesale distributor of business products and a provider of marketing and logistics services to retailers.
The multi-year contract, which covers the print production of United Stationers' catalog, mail list services, logistical services, and paper procurement operations, is expected to lead to sales of more than $100 million over the duration of the agreement. The deal furthers the companies' 25-year relationship.
Bob Smetana, advertising vice president for United Stationers, praised Quebecor World's customer service, can-do attitude, and ease with which it handles his company's versioning requirements.
Quebecor World will produce this work in its facilities in Jonesboro, Ark.; Augusta, Ga.; Lebanon, Pa.; and Brookfield, Wis. Mail list and logistics services will be managed from the company's facility in Bensenville, Ill.
