Goss International, Bolingbrook, Ill., has funded a printing laboratory at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif., in support of the graphic communication department there. Bob Brown, chief executive of Goss, recently dedicated the building, which houses a Community press used for practical print learning and to produce a four-color daily campus newspaper.
Jonathan Leslie will join Sappi Limited, Johannesburg, South Africa, next month as chief executive, succeeding Eugene van As, who will become non-executive chairman.
Quebecor World Inc., Greenwich, Conn., signed a multiyear agreement with Condé Nast Publications to print its new magazine, Teen Vogue, a European-size, six-issues-per-year title to be launched with the February/March issue, with an initial circulation rate base of 450,000.
Autobond, Derbyshire, U.K.-based manufacturer of thermal and water-based manual and automatic laminators, marked its 25th anniversary in business.
Bell & Howell Company, Chicago, a provider of mail and messaging solutions and services, has joined with the North American operations of Böwe Systec AG, a provider of paper management systems based in Augsburg, Germany. The combined company, Böwe Bell & Howell, will be equally owned by the current owners of each company and headed by George E. Marton, chief executive.
