Six-Color Printer Program
Pantone, Inc. and Sun Chemical Inks (GPI) have created an authorized Pantone Hexachrome printer program for the North American narrow-web flexographic label printing market. The vendors, which will provide participating printing companies with technical training and promotional support for expanding the use of the patented six-color printing process, will also recruit converters wanting to gain the added value of Hexachrome printing with Sun Chemical's special inks. By yielding a color gamut broader than conventional four-color process, the Pantone-developed process is said to be ideal for enhancing the appearance of point-of-purchase labels.
