PrintPAC Announces Federal Endorsements

PrintPAC, the political action committee for the Printing Industries of America (PIA), has announced its endorsements for the 2001-2002 federal election cycle.

"Financial challenges in the industry made it more difficult to raise the funds necessary to compete in as many races as we would have hoped," says Ben Cooper, treasurer of PrintPAC, and executive vice president of PIA. "Regardless, printers around the country supported PrintPAC at a level where we were able to participate in approximately 60 House and Senate races."

He adds that PrintPAC focused more on Senate races this year because the Senate is where businesses can make the greatest gains in the 108th Congress.

 

Following are the candidates for Senate receiving PrintPAC funds:

Alabama: Sen. Jeff Sessions-R, $2,000

Colorado: Sen. Wayne Allard-R, $5,000

Georgia: Rep. Saxby Chambliss-R, $5,000

Iowa: Rep. Greg Ganske-R, $5,000

Kansas: Sen. Pat Roberts-R, $1,000

Kentucky: Sen. Mitch McConnell-R, $5,000

Maine: Sen. Susan Collins-R, $10,000

Minnesota: Norm Coleman-R, $10,000

Mississippi: Sen. Thad Cochran-R, $2,500

Missouri: Former Rep. Jim Talent-R, $10,000

New Hampshire: Rep. John Sununu-R, $5,000

New Mexico: Sen. Pete Domenici-R, $1,000

North Carolina: Elizabeth Dole-R, $5,000

Oklahoma: Sen. James Inhofe-R, $2,000

Oregon: Sen. Gordon Smith-R, $3,000

South Carolina: Rep. Lindsey Graham-R, $7,000

Tennessee: Former Governor Lamar Alexander-R, $1,000

Texas: Attorney General John Cornyn-R, $5,000

Virginia: Sen. John Warner-R, $3,000

Wyoming: Sen. Mike Enzi-R, $3,000
