Federal Elections Hold Promise of Power Shift

Next month's political elections present the printing industry, and business in general, with the opportunity to shift the balance of power of the federal government back to a more pro-business political party. The Senate races are where the action will be. While many Washington watchers believe that the House of Representatives is a lock for Republican control, the Senate is definitely up for grabs.

Currently, the majority in the Senate belongs to the Democratic Party by a 51-49 count. Given this fragile majority, all eyes will likely be on Senate races this November. Of course, election outcomes can always yield surprises.
