Banta Promotion

Banta Corporation, Menasha, Wis., has promoted Stephanie A. Streeter to president and chief executive, effective October 1.

Donald D. Belcher, who has served as Banta's chief executive for nearly eight years, will continue as chairman until his retirement in April 2004.

Streeter, 44, has served as president and chief operating officer of Banta since January 2001. Earlier, she had spent 15 years at Avery Dennison in its worldwide office products group.

Last year, Banta, which employs 8,000 people and operates 35 facilities, booked about $1.5 billion in sales. The company, under Belcher's guidance, has expanded its core competency to include supply-chain management.
