Quebecor Supplies Paper

Staff -- graphic arts online, 8/1/2002

GREENWICH, CONN—Quebecor World has entered into a long-term agreement with Sears, Roebuck and Co. to furnish all the roll stock paper Sears uses for its national newspaper insert program.

Quebecor World, with annual sales of $6.5 billion, produces magazines, inserts, circulars, books, catalogs, directories, specialty printing, and direct mail, and offers digital premedia, logistics, and mail list services.

The agreement expands Quebecor World's relationship with Sears, which dates back more than 50 years. The company prints Sears's entire national newspaper insert program, which involves 865 newspapers, as well as some of its other print programs.

Paper will be supplied to 18 Quebecor World facilities and other printing companies that use that stock for producing Sears's work. The companies plan to work with paper suppliers to maximize supply chain efficiency through specification management, inventory reduction, trim and asset utilization, and inbound logistics.
