In 2003, the On Demand Digital Printing & Publishing Strategy Conference and Exposition will be co-located with the AIIM conference and show, which serves enterprise content management and e-business professionals. Edward H. Owen, a long-time industry writer and editor, died March 11 in Hollywood, Fla. at age 79. He is succeeded by his wife and professional colleague, Jane.

Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Hell, German inventor, engineer, and entrepreneur, died March 11 at the age of 100. Among his inventions were phototypesetters, color scanners, and engraving systems for rotogravure cylinders. The business he founded helped to form Linotype-Hell AG in 1990.
