Xeikon Is Sold

Punch International NV, a Belgian electronic manufacturing systems supplier with turnover of $100 million in 2001, has acquired the digital color printing assets of Xeikon NV, also of Belgium. The relaunched firm, a division of Punch along with Strobbe Graphics, will be called Xeikon International, headed by Jan Van Daele, a Xeikon manager since 1993.
In the transaction, Punch acquired 235 employees; the inventory; and two facilities in Belgium, a toner factory in Heultje and a press manufacturing plant located in Mortsel.
