Machines Close

Staff -- graphic arts online, 4/1/2002

MeadWestvaco Corporation, Stamford, Conn., has begun permanently shutting down three coated paper machines at its Chillicothe, Ohio mill, plus one coated paper machine at its facility in Luke, Md., resulting in the loss of about 350 and 75 jobs, respectively. Production is to be transferred to mills elsewhere.
