Heidelberg USA, Kennesaw, Ga., has begun to market, distribute, and service—in markets throughout North and South America—the Foil-Jet series of hot foil stamping and embossing presses developed by Steuer Printing Technology of Germany.
The product line was introduced in 1995 and is being used in plants producing folding cartons, greeting cards, and security printing, including holograms. Steuer foil-stamping presses, which are rated at up to 12,000 impressions per hour, utilize feeder and delivery technology derived from Heidelberg's 40"-wide Speedmaster 102 sheetfed presses.
The presses, according to Steuer, also feature new rotary application of the foil and advanced foil-saving systems.
