Xeikon N.V., Mortsel, Belgium, filed a request on November 9 for creditor protection in Belgium and France. Approval of the request would enable the company to prepare a restructuring plan while temporarily being relieved of its obligation to service existing debt. In the meantime, the company says, it intends to continue manufacturing, marketing, and distributing its production digital printing systems.
