Recruitment Kit Boosts Careers

Staff -- graphic arts online, 11/1/2001

The Printing Industries of America (PIA), Alexandria, Va., has launched a promotional campaign kit to help printing companies recruit young people. Titled "Make-Ready a New Generation," the campaign is intended to promote career opportunities that the industry offers.

"Introducing young adults to new career opportunities is not just a problem for the graphic arts industry, but one that many less visible trades encounter," says Lucy Seal, PIA's vice president of marketing. "PIA is taking a proactive step toward creating the next generation of graphic arts industry professionals by demonstrating there are many employment opportunities in this field."

The kit includes materials that instruct companies in how to promote and introduce the graphic arts industry to young people.

For information, contact PIA's awareness hot line at (800) 357-4221.
