Acquisition Deal Announced

HUNTINGTON, W.VA.—Champion Industries, Inc., a commercial printer, business forms manufacturer, and office products and furniture supplier in regional markets east of the Mississippi, acquired Transdata Systems, Inc. of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Transdata Systems will operate as a subsidiary of Champion's Bourque Printing unit in Baton Rouge.
Champion Industries, a public company whose stock is traded on the Nasdaq, has annual sales of more than $126 million. Annual sales for Transdata Systems amount to about $5 million.
