Pledge For Scholarships

Staff -- graphic arts online, 7/1/2001

The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF), Sewickley, Pa., has received a pledge of $300,000 from NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, Reston, Va.

The gift, which will establish an endowed fund in the name of NPES president Regis J. Delmontagne, is the largest single contribution PGSF has received in its 45-year history.

It's estimated that the return on the endowment will permit the awarding of some $19,000 in scholarships each year. Students who may be eligible to receive a scholarship must be pursuing studies in graphic communications or a related field and must be a child of an employee of an NPES member firm, which now number more than 450.
